Our Mission:

Learners, Leaders, Peacemakers

Holy Family Cathedral School is a culturally diverse Catholic school working together with Christ to create life-long learners, articulate faith-filled leaders, and peacemakers who enter to learn and exit to lead.

Rooted in Faith

Balancing research based educational practices with our students' spiritual needs and creative gifts, Holy Family Cathedral School is a thriving community where children can improve their minds, refresh their souls, and increase their joy through artistic expression.

Holy Family achieves academic excellence by emphasizing traditional core skills and faith formation at levels that exceed national standards. Our academic curriculum is approved by the Diocese of Tulsa and rooted in Catholic values. Faculty and school administration evaluate the curriculum on an ongoing basis. Holy Family strives to maintain a 15:1 student-to-teacher ratio. Our small class sizes allow for an individualized approach that is integral to our students' success. Teachers and school administration make it a priority to individualize instruction so that every student is challenged to high standards of academic excellence that meet their personal learning needs. Our downtown location allows our students to have access to diverse cultural experiences offered by an urban setting, thus providing our students many opportunities to learn through "hands-on" experiences and exploration.

The spiritual goal of Holy Family Cathedral School is to encourage each person in the school community to develop a love for God through an understanding of the Catholic faith and to apply this learning to their own daily decisions and spiritual formation.

School-sponsored activities challenge our students to apply their academic abilities in authentic learning tasks. These activities show our students how to make classroom learning applicable to the real world. Students share their knowledge of curriculum through participation in MathCounts, Academic Bowl, local and regional spelling and geography bees, and Lego League Robotics. Our on-site ballet, Spring Arts Festival, Spanish, technology, and enrichment programs allow all students to excel and to discover their God-given talents. We are unique among Catholic schools as we are the only Diocesan school to offer a band program.

Fine Arts

St. Augustine famously said, “He who sings, prays twice,” and the Psalms admonish the people of God to, “praise his name in dance, make music with tambourine and lyre.” Holy Family Cathedral School is committed to providing the opportunity for every child to explore and nurture the gifts that God has bestowed on them, whether their gifts are in math and science, or in the fine arts. In partnership with Oklahoma A+ Schools, we seek to enhance the educational experience of every child through expanding their access to visual art, dance, and music instruction.

Holy Family students in grades 5-8 participate in the Diocesan Middle School Athletic Association (DMSAA) sports league for volleyball, basketball, and track. Boys can participate in Comet football organized through Bishop Kelley High School. Students in grades kindergarten through eighth have opportunities to participate in cross country, and a variety of other sports through the parks league.
