This Weekend in Tulsa: August 17-19

Didn't our neighbors to the north in the Tulsa Arts District look beautiful after the rains on Wednesday morning?

Didn't our neighbors to the north in the Tulsa Arts District look beautiful after the rains on Wednesday morning?

We've made it through the first week of school, and now it's time to enjoy the weekend. To encourage a time of rejuvenation and reconnection with your family, we've compiled a list of some things that you can do around Tulsa!

Friday, August 17

Take an evening stroll through the Philbrook Museum- don't forget to check out their Summer in France exhibit- and then head to their restaurant, Kitchen 27, for their weekly burger night!

Tulsa Zoo is currently running a back to school membership sale, today through Sunday! Purchase your yearly membership at a discount and then spend some time exploring the zoo with your family.

Head downtown for dinner! Duet Jazz is celebrating their grand opening this weekend and then go to Antoinette Baking Co. for pie night!

Saturday, August 18

Join our teachers and parish at the 2018 Catechetical Conference over the Domestic Church.

Philbrook Museum has a Family Studio Saturdays for children of all ages where your family can explore a new artistic skill in the studio and in the galleries.

Celebrate the first week of school with a Back to School Ice Cream Social at Sweets & Cream.

Join our parish for Mass at 5:00.

Sunday, August 19

Start off your day with Mass at the cathedral at 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM.

After Mass, enjoy brunch at 624 Catering to support Family and Children Services (call ahead for a reservation).

We are, obviously, all about the arts, so we recommend checking out these arts activities after Mass and brunch. Ahha Tulsa opens up their studios for Studio Sundays where you can explore, tinker, and meet artists participating in their Open Studios program, or head to Gilcrease Museum for Sunday Funday and free admission to the museum!

Finish out your Sunday enjoying live music and time outdoors at the Sunday Concert Series at Guthrie Green before getting ready for school on Monday!

We hope that you have a wonderful weekend full of family time and rest. Share with us what you're doing around town this weekend by tagging your posts with our hashtag- #welovehfcs!
